West Bengal Scholarships H.S & Madhyamik Passed students 2021- Complete List

1)  Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

The Government of West Bengal introduces this scheme of giving scholarships at different levels of higher studies to the meritorious students belonging to economically backward families in the State of West Bengal.

Who Can Apply For This Scholarship?  

  • The Student who will admit in class XI in any stream like Science/Arts/Commerce or in Diploma Education after his / her madhyamik exam or the students who will admit in the UG Courses like Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses after his / her H.S in this year can apply for this scholarships this year.
  • It is applicable for all categories students (SC/ST/GEN/OBC-A/ OBC- B)

Eligibility

Students should Pass in the year of 2020 or 2021 with at least  75% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination  from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE)  / West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) / Madras a Education for Higher Secondary level or Under Graduate level Scholarship .
The family income should not be more than 2,50,000 / -per annum.

For HS – level

The minimum qualifying marks for being considered for award of scholarships will be 75% in aggregate, in Madhyamik Exam, and the total marks obtained in the Madhyamik Exam excluding pass marks in the additional subject.

Candidates from outside the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship

For UG - level

The minimum qualifying marks for being considered for award of scholarships will be 75% in aggregate, in the H.S. Examination conducted by the WBCHSE / Madrasha Siksha Parishad.

2)                          OASIS  Scholarship

The Government of West Bengal  has taken  this initiative through its Backward Classes Welfare and Tribal Development Departments to provide academic scholarships to SC, ST and OBC students studying in pre-matric (class 9th and class 10th) and post-matric (UG, PG and diploma). This scholarship financially supports students in their senior secondary education and higher studies in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, BEd. and MEd, Pharmacy, Diploma, PTTI, BVSc courses.

Eligibility Criteria

 

For SC / ST Students

1. The applicant  must be a permanent resident  of West Bengal with Certification of either SC or ST. 2. Only for the applicant who has enrolled at post-metric Education level. 3. The annual family income of the applicant should not be over2,50,000/-

For OBC Students

1. The applicant  must be a permanent resident  of  West Bengal with Certification of OBC. 2. The applicant should have passed SSC (Secondary School Certificate) Examination. 3. The annual family income of the applicant should not be over 1,00,000/-

3 ) WBMDFC Scholarship for Minority Students (Aikyashree Scholarship)

This scholarship will be awarded by West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) to the Minority students.

West Bengal Minority Welfare Department Providing Pre Matric, Post Matric, Merit cum Means and Tallent Support Scholarships for the Minority Students in West Bengal. Students, who are studying in Class 1 to Ph.D, can apply through Aikyashree Scholarship Portal.

Eligibility

For Post Matric

(i) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.

(ii) Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.

(iii) Must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.

(iv) The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.

(v) Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.

For Pre Matric

(i) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.

(ii) Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.

(iii) Must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.

(iv) The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.

(v) Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.

For Merit Cum Means

(i) The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.

(ii) Must have got admission in a technical / professional course.

(iii) Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.

(iv) Annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.

(v) The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities' Development and Finance Corporation are also eligible for applying.

4.) CM Relief Fund Scholarship / Nabanna Scholarship

The Chief Minister of West Bengal provides scholarships every year to the students, who passed the Madhyamik Examination or Higher Secondary exam or any University examination. This scholarship also is known as Nabanna Scholarship  provided by West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund .
